Sunday Work Party 4th February

After the dreich weather on Saturday it was a pleasure to be out and about in the woodlands today in warm sunshine doing some rescue work under Bracken’s watchful gaze, before the path construction gets underway. Bathing House Wood had several clumps of Snowdrop and Crocus that had been planted close to the path and these were carefully dug up and transplanted further back where they should settle in and provide spring blooms for future years.

Another task accomplished was to move a Scots Pine in Hopeward Wood that had been planted too close to the existing footpath.
